HILL VALLEY SALES GROUP — WORKSHOP SAMPLE DATA
MEMA HDMRC · "Using AI as an Advantage"
================================================================================

WHAT THIS IS

A complete, self-consistent set of sample files for a fictional heavy-duty
manufacturers' rep agency. Use it to practice the workshop prompts before you
point them at your own business.

Hill Valley Sales Group, its reps, its accounts, its six principal lines and
every number in these files are invented for training. None of it describes a
real company, person, or transaction. All of it is safe to paste or upload into
any AI tool, including public ones.

THE AGENCY IN ONE PARAGRAPH

Independent rep agency in the heavy-duty truck parts aftermarket. Midwest
territory — Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin. Founded 2012. Five
field reps and one inside coordinator. Six principals: DeLorean Suspension
Systems (the flagship, about a third of the commission book), Flux Brake &
Friction, Clocktower Lighting & Electrical, Enchantment Filtration, Twin Pines
Drivetrain, and Lyon Estates Cargo Control.

THE FILES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HillValley_Agency_Profile.txt
The agency's one-page context document — who we are, our lines, our
customers, how we win. This is an example of what prompt R2 builds for
YOUR agency. Paste it in when a prompt asks for an agency profile.

HillValley_Line_Card.csv
The six principals: category, territory, commission rate, target attention
share, contract renewal date, and required reporting cadence.

HillValley_Line_Sales_By_Account.csv
Account-level sales by principal line, month by month, January through
June 2026. 62 rows. This is the shape of report a principal or your own
system hands you. Used by the account performance review.

HillValley_Field_Notes.csv
103 field notes from the five reps over the same six months — visits,
calls, and what customers actually said. This is the "why" layer that
explains what the sales file only shows as numbers.

HillValley_Commission_By_Principal.csv
Monthly commission by principal, January through June. Useful as a
cross-check: every monthly line total in the sales file reconciles to
this file at line-card commission rates.

HillValley_Voice_Memos.txt
Raw, unedited voice-memo transcripts of the kind a rep records in the
truck after a call. Messy on purpose. Use them to practice turning
    dictation into structured call notes.

Flux_Ironhide_CrossReference.csv
Our Flux part numbers crossed against a competitor's, with list and street
pricing and notes on match quality. Not every row is a clean match — read
the match_notes column before you trust a comparison.

Cattlemans_Flux_Purchase_History.csv
What one fleet customer actually bought from us over the last twelve
months, by part number and unit volume. Pair it with the cross-reference
file when you want a comparison weighted by what a customer really buys.

DeLorean_Product_Warranty_Policy.txt
A principal's full aftermarket warranty policy — coverage periods by
product family, what voids coverage, claim procedure and labor allowances.
Long and dry on purpose. Use it to practice grounded lookups, where the
AI answers only from a document you provide and quotes the passage.

Doc_Brown_CEO_VoicePrint_Document.txt
A leadership voice-and-philosophy reference for DeLorean's founder. An
example of what a "voice document" looks like when it's written down.
Note: this one is carried over from an earlier version of the dataset and
is written in a different industry setting than the rest of these files.
Read it for the voice, not the subject matter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A NOTE ON USING IT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The files are designed to work together. The sales file tells you WHAT
happened; the field notes tell you WHY; the line card tells you what each line
is worth. The most interesting things in this dataset only show up when you
give the AI more than one file at a time — which is the point.

Start with the account performance review, then add the field notes to the same
conversation and ask for causes. Don't skip ahead to the answer.

All prompts are on the workshop resources page.
